Artistic 3 bed garden flat, beautiful Notting Hill
London, London, City of, United Kingdom W10
The apartment is full of colour and character, it is 5 minutes walk away from Portobello Market and a stone's throw from Ladbroke Grove Tube station. Enjoy the local Notting Hill life with all the cafes, bars and restaurants it has to offer.
This is a very warm and cosy home - full of joy and colour. The owner has a wonderful collection of memories from her travels and countries she has lived in around the world from knick knacks and paintings to fabrics bearing testament to family and the history of London. The flat is located about 5 mins walk from Ladbroke Grove station and the world famous Portobello Market- the one from the smashing Notting Hill movie! The flat is located on the ground floor level so not many stairs to negotiate. You enter through a passage bathed in red and mirrors and come towards the living room. There are some items here which are of sentimental value so it is appreciated if guests are careful. You can go into the little patio through the doors in the living room. In the summer, the patio is a great space to enjoy the sun and a glass of Pimms :) The larger bedroom has a Queen size double bed and the smaller bedroom has a double sofa bed so the apartment can comfortably sleep 4. Both bedrooms are furnished in nice white cotton sheets and decorated with lots of art works. The bathroom has a shower and bath. The kitchen is fully equipped and I have left some cooking essentials and tea, coffee and sugar so you can enjoy a cuppa as you settle in. You will love the peace and quiet of the flat and the buzz of London and therefore the owner has decided not to have a TV in the flat, though you can of course watch it on your laptop if you so wish! I urge you to go out and explore or perhaps take time off to read :)
The Guests will be able to access all areas of the space.
During your stay I am available either through messaging or email and by phone in case of an emergency.
The flat is located very close to the famous Notting Hill area and the best antique market in the world (in my opinion), Portobello Road Market. What can I say about Notting Hill that one doesn't already know. Handsome townhouses, smart restaurants, boutique shops - its all there to make a perfect holiday for you. One of the best pizza spots in London is very close to the flat - try out Pizza East! Their ice creams are to die for. On the same street as Pizza East, you will find some other excellent cafes. I love Snap + Rye for its Danish pastries, smorgasbord and coffee. Kipfferl is known for its Viennese delicacies such as sacher torte! Further down the road is John Doe turning out nice English food. And if you are after fish and chips, then look no further than George's on Portobello Road. There are loads of lovely eateries in Notting Hill. Try out my favourites - Ottolenghi for some excellent brunch and Beach Blanket Babylon for some glamour cocktails! Watch a movie at the uber cool Electric cinema with its red loungers, there is so much to do in this area that you won't want to go anywhere else.
Ladbroke Grove station is the closest tube station and is only 5 minutes walk away from the flat. The station is on the Hammersmith and City and Circle lines. You can get to Baker Street in 10 minutes from this station and in another 10 minutes you will reach Kings Cross St. Pancras.
